Do Not Give Me a Love That is Classic.

Do not give me a love that everyone views as classical and old-fashioned, but no one really has any plan of staying to find out the ending.

Do not give me a love that is classic. A love so classic that people marvel at how unique it is. People will marvel and know the glorious beginning of our love, just as they have with the piece of For Elise written by the famous Beethoven, but not know the ending of it. Do not give me a love that is as light as Vivaldi’s Four Seasons in Spring, but no one knew the different seasons it had to go through. Do not give me a love that resembles the harmonious Canon in D, but yet, very little acknowledge the composer behind the music. Do not give me a love where everyone views the music as harmonious and the instruments as pleasing, but no action nor words can explain what it truly means. Do not give me a love that everyone views as classical and old-fashioned, but no one really has any plan of staying to find out the ending.

Do not give me a love that is modern. A love that only follows the lyrics of sex and drugs. Do not give me a love that is only based on lusts and how pretty we look. Do not give me a love where we meet in the club and got drunk and fell in love. Do not give me a love where one night stands are everywhere, sneaking out in the middle of the night and having to face the awkwardness of next morning. Do not give me a love based on who has to be dominant and who has to be submissive. Do not give me a love so modern, when only sex and lust are what it has to offer. And yes, it has words and meaning and explanations are presented as clear as day, but should love truly just be sex?

Give me a love that is timeless. A love that everyone from all ages can agree the simplicity of the words. Give me a love where your intentions are clear. Give me a love where I can hear you say clearly and in utmost simplicity the words “I love you.” Give me a love where you don’t offer me sex and one night stands, or a love that gives me all of the actions and implies you like me, but no words can be shown or presented. No, give me a love as timeless as Ed Sheeran’s Perfect, where each move and each smile we make to each other is as simple as the moment can make. Give me a love as unique as Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling In Love”, where each rendition and each cover is as if a story so similar yet so different can be brought out and is being unfolded with each person. Give me a love as raw as “All of Me” by John Legend, desperately proclaiming of one’s risk to be completely vulnerable to the other person. Give me a love as heartfelt as the promise of “I Swear” being proclaimed through each lover, promising time and time again, I will love you, no matter what.

Do not give me a love that is classic, listening to only the melody, but not hearing the words.
Do not give me a love that is modern, jumping to the beat of sex, sweat, drugs, and one night stands.
Give me a love that is timeless, dancing next to you with the harmony of your promises, love, and vulnerability.
