- Breathe in. Inhale and feel the oxygen go inside your body. For the first time, you notice that oxygen has a pleasant odd smell.
- Breathe out. Exhale the carbon dioxide. With each breath, you will notice your soul is slowly dimming, losing the hold on your body.
- Close your eyes. Do not look at the faces surrounding you. It will be too painful for you to leave if you keep them open.
- Open your left hand. You will feel a calloused hand squeeze it three times. Squeeze it back three times. Whatever happens, do not let go of it.
- Open your eyes. The faces of your loved ones have vanished. You only see a man with a black coat, holding a scythe. Look into its eyes. You will realize that the Grim Reaper was the one holding your hand. Do not let go of his hand.
- Say your name. Your name will give access to the memories you have made in this lifetime. Give them to the man with the black coat. When you do this, do not let go of his hand.
- Do not let go. No matter how fearful or how horrifying what is facing you, do not let go of his hand.
- Jump. You will feel yourself soaring and leaving your body, revisiting the memories.
- Keep your eyes straight. You will go through your memories, from the moment you were born to the last breath that you have taken. It will be quick and brief, only revisiting the memories that shaped you and the ones that you have held dear. You might notice an odd creature at your peripheral, chasing you as you breeze through your life. Ignore it. Keep your eyes straight and do not turn around to look at it.
- Do not let go of the reaper’s hand. You will notice him raising his scythe. He will not hurt you unless you let go. Hold his hand tightly.
- If you see your old self looking straight at you, close your eyes. That is not you. That is the entity trying to capture your soul. He may whisper and tempt you to open your eyes, but you must force them shut. Only when the voice has faded can you open your eyes.
- If you hear a slashing of the scythe, do not ask questions. You may not be prepared to hear the answer.
- If the reaper asks a question, answer honestly. Keep it simple. Adding glamor to the story will make your trip more excruciating.
- When the grim reaper puts down the scythe, squeeze his hand three times. If he tightens his grip, look him in the eyes slowly. The entity has caught up with you, and the reaper has to kill you along with it.
- If the reaper squeezes his hand back three times, you can let go. You have reached the afterlife. Enjoy your stay.
