Reincarnation.

- the idea or belief that people are born again with a different body after death.
1810 A.D.
Year 1
I have heard hundreds of stories of reincarnation. They say that the reason why you are being reincarnated is so that you can be good enough to reach nirvana. But when you’re not at that stage yet, the reincarnation process just repeats and continues itself.
I remember people telling us of them being reincarnated as another person, as an animal, as a plant, or as an insect. But I have never heard of something like this.

Year 10
Punishment. This is definitely a punishment. I groan as I wonder what have I done in my lifetime to receive such torture. Many must think that being reincarnated to outer space is a big win. Trust me, it is not. All I do is float and wander into space in an endless void. I have no name or no purpose in this life. It sucks.
Year 100
The spheres around me finally have names given to them. They are being called planets. There are eight of them. I try to reach out and talk to them, but I no longer have any voice to call them out. I sigh in frustration. The fact that I also move incredibly slowly compared to them is equally annoying.
Year 120
Guess what? I finally have a new name! Thanks to the little girl that found me, I am now Pluto! And I’m also a planet. Normally, I would wail my arms happily and hug the other planets. But, I cannot do that. I have this thing called gravity where I have to follow this path. I cannot move away from it. But if you imagine that I could, everything would wreak havoc and all because of me! I would be even demoted and get farther from nirvana. Who would want that?
Year 196
A dwarf planet? What the hell? What do you mean I cannot be a part of the group anymore? What do you mean I didn’t meet the criteria? Just because I cannot clear objects around my orbit makes me become a dwarf planet!? I met three out of the four criteria! This sucks. Okay, Pluto. Breathe in and out. In and out. Don’t go out of the orbit. Everyone is going to die if you do, and you’ll probably be reborn in something worse than a planet. A dwarf star or something. I don’t know.
2019 A.D.
Year 209
If I was still a human on earth, I would probably be dead and transformed into something. But I’m not. It’s going to be my first orbit, or first birthday, whatever you call it, in 39 human earth years. Turns out I’m inside this Kuiper belt. So I have got some “friends” at least. I’ve also got five moons with me. But they keep bragging about how fast they orbit around me. Ugh, whatever. And now, the humans are fighting whether I’m a planet or not. They just cannot leave me in peace! But hey, on the bright side, at least if I remember this in my next life, it’s going to be one hell of a story, right?
